Check out this clip from the lost classic “Nutball 1999″ with Johnny Pemberton & I.
Four nuts enter the grid, and no one knows how many will leave. Someone’s going to get nutted.

“We’re doing a George Michael cover, “One More Try” with Har Mar Superstar. I’m trying to put out a 7″ with the George Michael cover on one side and on the other a Bones Thugs ‘n’ Harmony remix,” Gayng’s Ryan Olson explains. “Most reviews of Gayngs or the album seem to reference George Michael so we thought it’d be cute to put it out. When can you hear it? We’re not a real band, so there’s no rush for us to do anything at all.” The cover of ‘One More Try’ will follow Gayngs’ take on Godley & Creme’s “Cry,” a highlight of their debut album, “Relayted.”
Would Gayngs like to to work with Michael? “Maybe he could do a duet with Har Mar Superstar. That’d be amazing. Har Mar killed it though, he did a really good job.”

Thank you for the mentions, Perez!

“Originally written for Britney Spears, the song hasn’t really changed for its male perspective, although a can-opening sound effect makes it clear that Tillmann is lusting for a large beer rather than a lanky male. Otherwise, the tune is pure synth-pop and electro-cheese of the most addictive variety, right down to its video-game sound effects and giddy double entendres.”
Whip It! comes out on DVD tomorrow. I have a song on the soundtrack and appear as a roller derby coach. It’s a sweet, awesome movie. Support Drew and the awesome cast. Check it out!
During his current U.S. tour, Har Mar Superstar talked about his multiple personalities, rolodex of celebrities, and approach to music.

“The Gadget Show’s” Jason Bradbury assumed the role of director, lighting engineer, cameraman, and editor to make a completely original music video for Har Mar Superstar’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” using a range of new consumer HD camcorders and editing software. This is the final product.

“The interview took place on January 24, 2010. It was the night of Har Mar Superstar’s performance at Chop Suey in Seattle. It was also the night of the Vikings’ loss in the NFC Championship. I was supposed to meet Tillmann at the venue at 8pm, but the native Minnesotan was across the street at a pizza joint, where he had been watching the game.
For approximately 25 minutes, we had a conversation on a variety of topics, which spanned from death to Kool Keith and songwriting to starring in Ghostbusters 3.”
